Tagging and sorting, system evolution

I just found a very long yet detailed, readable and enlightening piece of writing that talks about categorising and "tags". It's well worth the read in my current opinion.
In particular I like the part about weighing categories and the examples are quite striking.
This text also points to how folksonomy can change taxonomy entirely and being myself in the process of changing the way content is managed on my website I find it very topical. Timestamps indeed are as important as tags, and categories can't be gotten straight in the first strike, just as they will probably not be adapted as the content they describe changes over time.
Everything must flow... And hierarchies be replaced by dynamics.
