Depuis la salle de bain, j'entendais Wedding song un peu étouffé et la caisse claire et le rythme de la voix se détachant plus que d'habitude, j'ai réalisé que Tracy Chapman rappe. Sisi: si on laisse la guitare de côté, le rythme est chaloupé et la voix se balade autour du rythme, comme dans le rap.
(Euh... Que je retourne à la salle de bain et que j'arrète de dire des conneries? Bon, d'accord...)
Tracy Chapman's Wedding Song, when heard from the bathroom, with only the snare and voice rhythm standing out, made me realise that except for the guitar she was singing sort of downtempo rap: the rhythm swings and the voice rides on and around time.
