Apple Strüdel (Kabuki)

  • dough
  • apples
  • vanilla cream
  • nuts
  • raisins

Before you start, put the raisins in some rhum and water to soften them. You'll need to cut the apples in cubes and prepare the vanilla cream too.
When that is done, spread the dough on baking paper, cover it with the cream and cubes, raisins and nuts (don't cover too close to the sides or it will spill when you roll it). Now roll it into a tube (with the filling inside of course!) and paint some whipped egg on top so it turns golden when you bake it.
Serve warm with some tea and pictures from your travels in Central Europe!
