Pepparkakor (traditionnal scandinavian spice cookies) (Tommi)

  • Butter (210gr)
  • Sugar (210gr)
  • Flour (500gr)
  • Cream (1dl)
  • Syrup (1dl)
  • Baking powder (2tsp)
  • Cinnamon and Pepper (1tsp each)
  • Cloves and Ginger (0,5tsp each)

Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar.
Bring the syrup to the boil, add all the spices and let it cool down.

Add the syrup, the cream and the flour mixed with the baking powder to the butter, knead and leave the dough alone for one day.

Spread the dough thin and cut out with a glass or a special pepparkakor-form. Bake for approximately ten minutes, and enjoy!
