Highlighting search terms

There's one thing I hate, and it's those site that highlight search terms. Why?
Because when your search includes general words like "the" or "php" half the page lights up and it can really get in the way. So please, please, please allow switching this off! What's more, this duplicates the ctrl+find function found in every browser (including IE!).
Now if you still need to implement that, here is how (ALA is great! 
). But please read the discussion before.
