Une autre vision des choses... - A different view

I just spent a while browsing using Lynx, the text-mode browser that ships with every good distro (linux distribution) and I can tell you that the web is far from being semantic!

A properly coded page will display all right, and I'm proud to admit that my webpage is perfectly readable and usable in this respect. More often, though, reliance on tables (which are almost unreadable with the default settings) and adding clusters of navigation on top of everything, and useless junk between too often underused or misused headers and text makes browsing a boring thing...
When the problem of mouse drivers crashing x (Xwindow, the graphic system for linux) is solved, I'm not sure I'll want to return to this impoverished view of the web. Graphics are too often in the way, but they really make it more fun to go about browsing!
